Simple Lacey Coasters

Here’s a quick and easy coaster pattern to spruce up your home, another great 1 hour project when you have a little spare time and a little spare yarn!

Equipment:

  • 3.5mm hook
  • Cotton Yarn 25g (colour of choice)

Key (US):

  • MR – Magic Ring
  • Ch – chain
  • dc – double crochet
  • sl st – slip stitch
  • sts – stitches

Pattern:

MR

R1: ch3 (this counts as your first dc) 19dc into MR, sl st into 3rd ch (20sts)

R2: ch3 (this counts as the first dc) dc, ch2, [2dc, ch2] repeat to the end of the round. Sl st into 3rd ch.

R3: sl st across to first ch2 space. [ch3 (this counts as the first dc) dc, ch2, 2dc] into the ch2 space. [2dc, ch2, 2dc] into each ch2 space to the end of the round. Sl st into 3rd ch.

R4: Sl st across to first ch2 space. [ch3 (this counts as the first dc) dc, ch2, 2dc] into the ch2 space. [2dc, ch2, 2dc] into each ch2 space to the end of the round. Sl st into 3rd ch.

R5: [8dc into ch2 space, sl st into the space where the dc joins in the last round] repeat to the end of the row. Fasten off, sew in the end and you’re finished!

Make as many coasters as you need in whatever colours you like, happy crocheting!
